Rollin on the River 2010 (7)

On October 9th the ISSRT was proud to be a part of Advocates for Access 2nd Annual Rollin on the River Fundraiser.  Advocates for Access, a nonprofit organization that empowers people with disabilities to live independently in our community, uses this event as a fundraiser and a disability awareness event.  The Illinois State Society raised  $1685.00 and the total for the fundraiser was $55,857.  Many of the participants decorate a wheelchair for the event and a prize is given to the best entry.  This year, the ISSRT asked the Midwest Garrison 502st Legion (Lucas Films Star Wars Characters) to help us in this event. Needless to say, they were the favorite to both young and old alike.  The ISSRT is dedicated to helping others in all communities in the State of Illinois.  Let us know if we can help you.  We are evolving into a new ISSRT, come and join us and see what we are about.
